Career Tip of the Day – Seek a Mentor
Find the most senior person in the world for your job and ask them to mentor you. Never ask your direct manager or boss to be your mentor as that is already their job to mentor and develop you. Ask a board member or global guru. What you need is what is called ‘Air Cover’. Someone who is many pay grades above you, who is helping pull you up the economic stratum. Push yourself and this process should be uncomfortable. Then meet or have a video call with your mentor once a month.
