Identify all the people you need, to agree to your proposal to say yes. Then map them out and look at which ones have the most power and influence. For example, if there are 9 decision-makers, often two or three of the 9 will run the whole group. That is if someone you look up to and feel is very competent thinks something is a good idea, there is a good chance you will feel it is a good idea too. In fact, when you create your influence map you may realize that you do not need to convince 9 people, there might only be one or two people that once won over will sway the group.
